Make a bequest

Leaving a Gift in your Will is easy to arrange.  Simply instruct your solicitor to include a Gift to St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane in your Will, or make an amendment to your existing Will.

Your Gift can be for a particular amount, a percentage of your estate, or the residue of your estate (after your debts, taxes and specific legacies have been paid).

If you have not yet made a Will

For all of us, putting our affairs in order is so important.  Having a Will ensures your wishes are carried out and that your loved ones, and the causes you hold dear, are looked after.

Making a Will is relatively simple.  All you need to do is list your assets and liabilities and then visit a solicitor.

If you have already made a Will

You can still leave a Gift to St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane.  All you need to do is include an amendment, which simply states that you would like to remember the hospital in this way.

“I give and bequeath……………to St Vincent’s Private Hospitals Ltd for the charity purposes of St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane, 411 Main Street, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane, Queensland, 4169.”

Different types of Gifts in Wills

Specific Gift  This is the gift of specific property eg: jewellery, real estate, a painting, or an item of furniture.

Pecuniary Gift  This is the gift of a stated sum of money eg: $5000
