Help bring the outside world in to St Vincent’s - Calling local artists
St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane is calling for local artists to exhibit in its third exhibition series ‘Outside In’ in 2016.
Following two successful years, with positive feedback from patients and staff, local artists again have the opportunity to show their work in a unique way to a wide audience.
‘Outside In’ fills every ward and hospital common area with vibrant art work by many artists and groups every year.
Arts Co-ordinator Fiona Forrest says the exhibition makes a real difference to everyday hospital life for patients, visitors and staff.
“Art has the potential to give patients and their families hope and aspiration, opportunities for contemplation, diversion from regular hospital routine, relaxation and potentially, improvement in patient health outcomes,” she said.
“Over the past two years Outside In has truly transformed St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane into a more inspiring and motivational place for patients to be and heal,”
“Every day, the Outside In exhibitions transform the entire hospital environment, we want to continue to provide this unique and significant experience for our patients in 2016.”
St Vincent’s is now accepting applications until close of business Friday 9 October.
